Today is Tuesday September 17, 2013
HIGHLIGHTS: There's a new survey that might help you get in and out of the doctor's office quicker. Mondays have the shortest wait times . . . Thursdays have the longest . . . the hardest appointments to get are 10:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M. . . . and even if you get to the doctor's office at their LEAST busy time, you're still looking at a 15-minute wait.
HIGHLIGHTS: On Saturday, a homeless man was walking around a parking lot in Boston, found a backpack containing $2,400 in cash and $40,000 in traveler's checks . . . and TURNED IT IN. The rightful owner called police an hour later. Now, someone's set up a fundraising page for the guy on GoFundMe.com . . . with a goal to raise $50,000.
HIGHLIGHTS: Around September 11th, "The Onion" made fun of companies that do lame 9/11 promotions with a fake Subway ad. It offered two subs for $9.11, and showed two sandwiches upright, with a guy flying toward them. So Subway blasted the fake ad on Twitter . . . but took the high road by actually HONORING the discount when people tried to use it last week.
HIGHLIGHTS: ZAC BROWN blasted today's country music during a radio interview yesterday. He said, quote, "If I hear one more tailgate in the moonlight, Daisy Duke song, I wanna throw up. There are songs on the radio right now that make me ashamed to be in the same format." He also trashed LUKE BRYAN'S song "That's My Kind of Night", saying, quote, "I love Luke Bryan and he's had some great songs, but this is the worst song I've ever heard."
Have a great day!
